Protecting Children from Tobacco Industry Interference with Speeches, Competitions, and Community Participation

On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day 2025, themed “Protecting children from tobacco industry interference,” a thoughtful and impactful program was held at the auditorium of Dr. B.S. Kushwah Institute of Medical Sciences. The event began with a peaceful lamp lighting ceremony, followed by an inspiring address from our Principal, Dr. P.K. Singh. Dr. Qamru Saqib (Dental) then delivered a powerful speech, shedding light on the harmful effects of tobacco and the available treatments to combat its use. The program continued with a chart presentation competition by students, where the best entries were awarded by the Principal. Students also conducted meaningful health talks to raise awareness. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Harish Chandra Paliwal, Professor of Community Medicine. The program was graced by the esteemed presence of Dental Head – Ms. Shrishti Madhav, Microbiology Professor – Dr. Rajeev Kishore Saxena, Program Coordinator – Ms. Sameeksha Yadav, Office Superintendent – Capt.
