Students Celebrate Uttar Pradesh’s Rich Legacy Through Cultural and Academic Activities

The vibrant celebration of Uttar Pradesh Foundation Day was organized with great enthusiasm at Dr. B. S. Kushwah Institute of Medical Sciences on 24 January 2026, transforming the campus into a hub of culture, creativity, and youthful energy. MBBS students from Batch 2024–25 and Batch 2025–26 actively participated, showcasing the rich heritage and spirit of Uttar Pradesh through a variety of engaging cultural and academic events. The programme featured captivating Aalha performances, energetic dance and singing, along with intellectually stimulating poster competitions and quiz competitions, among many other activities. Each performance reflected the students’ talent, confidence, and deep respect for the cultural legacy of the state. Outstanding participants were honoured with prizes as a mark of appreciation for their dedication and excellence. The celebration was graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Ashish Bansal, Vice Principal; Dr. Ipsita Choudhury, Professor & Head, Department of Biochemistry; Dr. Shalini Arora, Professor, Biochemistry; Dr. Amit Kumar, Associate Professor, Community Medicine; and Mrs. Urvashi Midha, Tutor, Biochemistry, whose encouragement and guidance added immense value to the programme. The event concluded on a warm and grateful note with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Harish Chandra Paliwal, Professor & Head, Department of Community Medicine. The celebration stood as a proud reminder of Uttar Pradesh’s glorious heritage and the institute’s commitment to holistic education through cultural engagement.
