The physicians at T.B. & Chest department prevent, detect beforehand, diagnose and  treat pulmonary diseases in adults, adolescents as well as children.

The pulmonary medicine programs comprise treatment of specific diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, sleep-disordered breathing, cystic fibrosis, interstitial lung diseases, smoking cessation program, occupational lung disease, pulmonary rehabilitation, lung cancers and tuberculosis.

The department’s diagnostic facilities consist of exercise testing, pulmonary function testing, diffusion studies, allergy testing, spiral & higher resolution CT imaging - guided biopsies, flexible video bronchoscopic investigation, thoracoscopic procedures and ventilation perfusion scans for pulmonary embolism.
