On 28 November 2025, the auditorium of Dr. B.S. Kushwah Institute of Medical Sciences, Lakhanpur, Kanpur came alive with pride and celebration as the White Coat Ceremony for MBBS Batch 2025–26 and the Fresher’s Party were organised under the vibrant theme “AUREUS”. The senior MBBS Batch 2024–25 curated a truly memorable event that beautifully blended tradition, responsibility and youthful energy. The ceremony was graced by the esteemed presence of CEO – Dr. Anu Kushwah, Principal – Dr. Prem Kumar Singh, HOD, Community Medicine – Dr. Harish Chandra Paliwal, Chairperson & Professor & HOD, Anatomy – Dr. Mirza R. U. Beg, Professor & HOD, Biochemistry – Dr. Ipsita Choudhury, Professor & HOD, Microbiology – Dr. Ambika Bhatiani, Professor & HOD, Pathology – Dr. Ashish Bansal, Associate Professor (Biochemistry) – Dr. Shalini Arora, Associate Professor (Community Medicine) – Dr. Amit Kumar, Dr. Urvashi Midha (Biochemistry), Professor (Anatomy) – Dr. Rashi Nigam, Professor (Forensic Medicine & Toxicology) – Dr. Pulkit Girdhar, Professor & HOD (Pharmacology) – Dr. Quazi Ahmad and his wife, Dr. Dilip Kumar Sinha (General Medicine), Dr. Mohar Singh (General Medicine), Professor (Anatomy) – Dr. Harvir Singh Sodhi, along with other distinguished faculty members. The programme commenced with a traditional Lamp Lighting ceremony, symbolising the light of knowledge and service. This was followed by an inspiring and motivational address by Dr. Anu Kushwah, encouraging the MBBS Batch 2025–26 to uphold the highest standards of compassion and ethics in their medical journey. The students then took the solemn Charak Shapath, reaffirming their commitment to the noble profession. The highlight of the day was the White Coat Ceremony, where 150 students received their white coats one by one, marking their formal entry into the medical fraternity. The celebrations continued as Batch 2024–25 hosted an energetic Mr. & Miss Fresher segment, followed by a series of dance performances, soulful solo and duet songs, and colourful cultural acts, keeping the auditorium vibrant till late evening. AUREUS 2025 not only welcomed the new batch but also reminded everyone present that this is not just the start of a course—it is the beginning of a noble journey in healing, humanity and hope.
